If you drive, you will most likely have to buy some gas in the park, but it is a safe bet that getting it elsewhere will be cheaper! Take a cooler and fill with ice, sandwich meat and other goodies so that you can avoid eating all your meals in the expensive park facilities. We paid $3 a bag for 10 lbs of ice in the park.

But in August 2013 , our business softened, renovations to our new building were more costly than planned, and we were now the owners of two mortgages: our home and our business. Restaurant food was just cheaper than when I cooked meals myself, because at that time I couldn’t cook any Chinese food, and Western food needed things like olive oil, cheese, butter, pasta…all expensive in China because they have to be imported. Use it for some renovation/home improvement projects and give some to a charity.

Aside from the mortgage, we also added equipment and renovation loans with the purchase, and we had a student loan. This side hustle income was mainly used for the fun stuff, such as camping, home renovations & repairs, and needs for our kids.
