We decided to buy an Amish-made desk. This choice meant that I had to work from the couch, and that I didn’t have any place to put my office supplies. Part of the issue is that we left my old desk behind in Utah. It takes time to build furniture if you get it done by hand, and you want quality craftsmanship.
