Set your financial goals together and you both will be more likely to stick to them. Weigh each decision against your financial goals. Consider not only the financial aspects, but the life enjoyment aspects as well. Are you financially independent? Get your family on board. I chose wealth, so can you.

It’s a tight budget and I failed miserably over the summer, but we have lots of financial goals, so I need to get it back in line. Friday & Saturday: It’s my 30th high school class reunion weekend and I’m spending both Friday and Saturday nights with a bunch of girlfriends that I haven’t seen in many years.

We were living on one income that placed us just at the top of lower class income level. I finally got inspired that we should at least start working on this huge goal of being debt free when I read Dave Ramsey’s Total Money Makeover. If married, who initiated the debt free goal?
