Use Newspaper – You probably don’t want to use a rag to clean your windows and mirrors as this can leave them streaky. Newspaper, however, is a great, cheap alternative to paper towels. Then use a damp cloth afterward to clean off any leftover baking soda. It can be used on glass and some counter tops. Everything!

Use newspapers to wipe clean (they really work!). Make clothes in the laundry “brighter” by adding a 1/2 cup vinegar to the rinse cycle. Sprinkle baking soda on the toilet brush and remove stained areas. Remove stickers on furniture or other surfaces with vinegar. Clean windows with half vinegar and half water.

We used vinegar and water to wash the windows and old newspaper (back when people still actually read the paper) to dry and polish them. Remove water marks from furniture with a mixture of vinegar and olive oil – rub in direction of grain then polish with a soft cloth. Keep clothing colors true by soaking in vinegar prior to washing.
