I don’t recall why I never used the account, but I guess it just slipped my mind. Right before the pandemic started, I opened 529 College Savings Accounts for our daughters. My oldest was in eighth grade and one of my goals for 2020 was to start saving consistently for both daughters’ college education.

They already have savings accounts that they don’t know about. I send in $50 every month to each of their accounts. It’s like having the Netflix subscription deducted from your card—no pain. Credit cards can be a lifesaver, especially when you need a small personal loan.

I promise I won’t start reciting Christmas carols, but while the holidays are still somewhat fresh in our minds, I think it would be a good idea to start planning for Christmas 2019. Did you use cash or put your purchases on a credit card? A credit Christmas equals: a “how are we going to pay for this” Christmas.
