Our very good cat, Warby All three of our kids were adopted and one has an intellectual disability so we also spend a lot of time learning about trauma and adoption issues as well as supporting our kids with their different needs. Our emergency fund has saved us countless times and it will save us once again with the truck. Because of these things, I feel that the most powerful things we parents can do to help erase the gender pay gap are to help our children ignore societal definitions of career choices and home roles; and to expect more (career wise) from our daughters. Switch jobs between spouses – let both cook, clean, mow, paint, repair and arrange.

Along our part-time business my husband is a senior web designer for Ramsey Solutions aka Dave Ramsey. We live a pretty busy lives and when given free weekends at home we love spending time at home on our little farm. Were there arguments during the time you were working on your debt?

I currently work part-time from home, mostly behind a computer. I learned how to repair my own car. He’s saved us a lot of money by being able to repair so many things on his own, by building and repurposing furniture pieces, and by making gifts that we did not have to buy. Here’s Beth: 1. I’m 52.

I’ve been teaching part time for over 25 years. I like to bake and read, and I spend time chauffeuring kids to activities and games. I volunteer at my kids’ school at lunch time and other events. I don’t make a lot of income on this blog, and it has definitely decreased recently as I’ve reduced my hours spent blogging. However, it produces a small part-time income from side-bar ads and affiliate commissions. My husband has side income from swim coaching and private lessons.
