It’s a tight budget and I failed miserably over the summer, but we have lots of financial goals, so I need to get it back in line. One of my kids was not feeling well, so we stuck around our home and hubby and I got a lot of housework done. We ate leftovers. Wednesday: leftover night from Tuesday’s dinner.

Dinner #1 (as they call it) is usually a sandwich or leftovers previous nights. Friday: leftover sloppy joes, french fries, steamed vegetables. Thankfully, they work off the extra calories.

We used gift cards on 3 nights, ate leftovers on 1 night, and grilled burgers on the last night. I followed the Square Foot Gardening technique and it served me well for many years.
