First up: I passed all of my competency tests yesterday, first try. The two professors who watched me said that I did a great a job and that they could tell I’d gone to a bunch of the optional open labs (and that’s true; I did sign up for tons of those). On to frugal things!

Mostly tiny things this week! I got an annual symphony pass So, after my little $10 symphony evening the other week, it occurred to me that other nearby city symphonies might also have a student program. I love Tchaikovsky! I made granola Routine and boring? And here’s how I sell books on eBay.

I don’t have time for anything very impressive right now! Except maybe this: I am most definitely going to pass all of my first semester classes. And passing classes is a huge financial win.) I spent $0 and got $5 It’s cheating a little to say it that way. I filled up my gas tank for $3.09/gallon

This week, I am thankful: that there’s lots of sun in the forecast coming up It was so gloomy out all day yesterday, I was feeling a little bit blue. But I looked ahead in the forecast and there are LOTS of sunny days coming up. that my office has a window When I moved in here, I purposely put my desk right by the window.
