For 20 or so years I’ve been homeschooling my kids, and am now down to about 1 1/2 (one full-time homeschooler, and one doing College Credit Plus with some support). We rent now and are much happier. We’ve saved so much on home improvement projects–when you rent you don’t worry about such things!

Rent a canoe or a paddleboat and paddle around together! Stroll around the World Showcase at Epcot, sharing drinks, good food , and music along the way. She completed several Disney internships and eventually accepted a full-time position on the conservation team at Animal Kingdom. They served her a ring for dessert!

When they got married, they bought a duplex so that the rent money from the tenant in the upstairs apartment would pay the mortgage. My biggest financial regret is the amount of money we spent on restaurant meals from the time we were married and both working full time to when we had kids. Alan doesn’t share that regret.
