That was the year that we made the goal of paying off the last of our non-mortgage debts and we achieved it by September of that year.

I am used to moving a lot! I am the oldest of seven kids (yes, we all have the same parents – I get asked that quite a bit!). It took me five years to pay off my debt but two of those years I had a job loss, I was taking care of my grandparents and I had lost my motivation and drive to pay off the debt.
