Our long-term goal is to retire in our 40s, and the first step is to pay off this mortgage (in addition to recommended retirement investing). He wants to retire early so he can do more woodworking, electronic fixing, and maybe work at a winery or brewery part-time. Our dog I don’t plan to fully retire, either.

Unfortunately, we did not hit that goal and in part, have made some major changes to our Debt Freedom Plan. At the time we were renting an office space in a strip mall, but when we discovered a foreclosure in our town that seemed like a great idea on paper, we jumped at the chance. Our goal is still debt freedom.
