Use reusable containers with lids rather than plastic wrap and aluminum foil to store leftovers. Use reusable grocery bags, rather than the plastic bags to cart your groceries home from the store. Eat those leftovers! I have a good friend who hates leftovers and throws any away after a meal. That’s crazy!

There is an initial investment, but I have seen similiar containers at yard sales or thrift stores and at Bed Bath and Beyond where they regularly offer 20% coupons. I have 4 different sizes.

Instead of eating out, pack your lunch. And if you rent, save money and then invest the difference. You can end up well ahead in the long run.
