The economic effects of the recession of 2008 are still very much upon us. As a result of the recession, many have resolved to forever alter the way that they conduct their household business. Regardless as to the specifics, many Americans have elected to decrease spending, increase savings and eradicate debt.

We planned our purchase in the heady days just prior to the recession of 2008/2009. After I started self-rental-management, we have been able to deduct some of the condo expenses from our personal taxes each year, resulting in some good tax savings. Property value appreciation. Gather the family.

Are we on our way to an actual depression (as opposed to the Great Recession)? If you want to read up on that stuff, plenty of it was written in 2008 and 2009. Dollar cost average that saved up cash into emerging companies that I think will flourish in the next fifty years. Am I just weird or do some of you also react that way?

When the Great Recession began in 2008/2009, my boss at the time (a Vice President of the company) and her spouse consulted their financial adviser to see what they should do. They asked him what would likely cause us to come out of recession. personal saving rate bottomed out at around 1% in the third quarter of 2005.

Despite having climbed their way up the corporate ladder and proving their value in millions of revenue and/or savings for the companies they worked for, the structure of each company was changing such that my parents were no longer necessary, regardless of their past performance. However he kindly reminds everyone that reducing your driving is the best way to save money on gas, as well as save the environment! You can cross-reference your food storage list to sales flyers and coupons if you are really looking to save. If this is the case, save up your food storage money for two or three weeks, setting it aside, and then make the larger storage purchase when you have the funds.
