In previous years, I would create a long list of financial goals, only to have little accomplished by the end of the December. I almost stopped writing goals down altogether. In 2018, we decided to focus on just 2 main financial goals and before I share my 2019 goals I thought I would give you a recap on 2018.

2016 & 2017 Update. Our 2019 Financial Goal. Happy New Year’s 2019: In January 2019, we were down to one final non-mortgage loan, so we created just one financial goal for the year—-to pay off that last non-mortgage debt by December. 1st Update in June 2014. 2018 Update.

Did you make 2018 financial goals ? My husband and I discussed some ideas over our holiday break and we decided on 2 solid must-achieve financial goals for the year. If we complete them early, we’ll move on to 2 additional goals that are on our radar. If not, we’ll start saving in 2019.

Number 4 was knocked out in 2019. We sent our very last payment to my husband’s student loan in September 2019, the same month I turned 50. We originally (and naively) estimated that we would be done by end of 2016, however, 2016 was not been kind to us, and we moved this goal into 2017. DONE November 2019.

In September 2019, my husband and I accomplished our biggest financial goal in our almost 20 years of marriage. When that loan was paid off, we put that full amount towards the third loan and this continued until September 2019. The Heavy Hitters: 1. We increased our income. Health Sharing Ministry.
