Chapter 17 in this book is titled, “Why not run the family office?” In highly affluent circles, a family office is a private wealth management firm that manages the finances and investments for the ultra-wealthy and their families. Hmmm, I wonder if the Kennedys have a family office? Project short-term cash needs.

My husband and I have four kids ranging from age 3-8, and I am a stay-at-home mom. Our family lives on a ten-acre homestead property in the Mid-Atlantic region which we bought in early 2022. I think I started reading FG regularly in 2018 or 2019. Within reason, we like to give our kids a nice Christmas with presents they enjoy.

My monthly savings goal was $100. This should cover my tentative 2019 Christmas budget that I based on what we spent in 2018. This is money I earned from my Christmas shopping last year, so it’s appropriate that I apply it to my Christmas savings. I added the check to our savings. It became a habit. Share in the comments.
