For many households, their finances and budgets are in limbo. But in August 2013 , our business softened, renovations to our new building were more costly than planned, and we were now the owners of two mortgages: our home and our business. We have revised our budget and we will get through this storm. Yep, life was good.

In September 2019, my husband and I accomplished our biggest financial goal in our almost 20 years of marriage. Aside from the mortgage, we also added equipment and renovation loans with the purchase, and we had a student loan. It was so big that I cried for two days straight– we paid off six figures in non-mortgage debts.

If nothing changes, this loan will be paid off by end of 2019, but I’d love to move that up and say adios to this loan! If not, we’ll start saving in 2019. You can only cut so much from a budget, so to increase our cash flow, we’ll need to earn extra income by growing our small business and growing my blog.
