Yep, I found a $20 bill while running on the beach! I have used the extra money to pay off debt, fund family trips, or build up our Christmas savings. We’ve had an Aflac Accident plan for many years and have never needed it until the fall of 2020 when we used it twice. One can be hopeful…lol.

Years ago during our Debt Freedom Plan, I avoided using credit cards, not because we had credit card debt, but I was trying to limit our overall spending.

Many years ago, our cash flow sucked, we put Christmas on a credit card, and I wasn’t sure how I was going to pay for a large tax bill. I came up with strategies to help us pay for yearly bills, large expenses, and we were able to pay off debts. We have been using this system ever since.

This side hustle income was mainly used for the fun stuff, such as camping, home renovations & repairs, and needs for our kids. We have thought about moving to a larger home with more space, but a smaller home means lower utility bills, homeowners’ insurance premiums, maintenance, and property taxes. Restaurants.

What are the top 3 – 5 ways you found money to put towards debt. We sold extra items that we weren’t using through Craigslist and garage sales. The software generated a monthly revenue, but we were able to sell them to pay off the rest of our debt immediately. How did you celebrate when you became debt free?

Before we left I was already feeling stressed from juggling 8 payments on top of our regular household bills and expenses.
