We did this and realized that we have Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, Disney +, and Sling TV—and my kids want HBO Max. Coming home from a trip to Disney World was what started it all. Shop with a list, and not just for food. What are your financial goals now? What inspired you to become debt free? Was there a particular event? The list helps keep me focused and prevents me from buying other items.

A lot of blood, sweat, and tears were shed here, but we both agree that having no mortgage gave us a serious leg up on our retirement savings and other financial goals. I enjoy good food even though I don’t like to cook it – maybe especially because I don’t like to cook it. We saved $105.00 The same is true for Maine.

This can ultimately lead to substantial savings that can go toward your financial goal and keep you from being wasteful. From expensive concerts to movies and Disney World, leisure activities, although necessary, can be rather expensive. That’s over 800 million people going without food. I do an audit every week.
