Don’t believe anyone when they say drilling will bring down gas prices right away; it won’t. While the number of drilling permits issued has increased by something like 360% over the last 10 years, gas prices have tripled during the same period. More drilling does not equal lower prices at the pump.

I find gas prices to be higher side at GIANT compared to the member price at BJ’s. However, $1 off per gallon definitely makes the price better at GIANT. This equals $6.80

While gas prices aren’t faring any better, you can at least hit the road and travel the same distance you would fly for half the cost. If a ticket from Albany to Austin costs $650 for one person, the cost to drive the 1,845 miles (with current gas prices and a vehicle that gets 25 mpg) would be a much cheaper at $265.
