Like many across the globe, my family’s finances are a bit unstable due to the Coronvius Pandemic. My second prayer is that my family gets through this crisis financially. More family time! My family has eaten together almost every night during this time. Being self-employed, we need the security that it offers.

I manage the finances for our business and our family and by August 2013, I felt the weight of the situation. On top of our normal day to day expenses, the new property taxes were due, we had more ownership expenses than we realized, and we had a family to feed. We are in control of our cash flow.

There are boat shows, boats at Cabella’s, boat manufacturers and lots of people whose main recreation is ‘going to the lake’ My growing up family were definitely land lubbers. Not all family members like boating. I even have trouble getting my grown kids to gather there. We rent it out during the hot season.

I’m in my 60’s, I’ve been married to the love of my life for 44 years and we have two adult “kids.” We consider her our “bonus kid” and our family is extremely close.
