Go Green This Halloween

Prairie Eco-Thrifter

How can you be money wise and green this Halloween? My daughter-in-law came up with this idea, buying bulk pumpkins and bulk flowers. We passed around pieces of food in the dark and told a story about how the pieces were parts of a body. The post Go Green This Halloween appeared first on Prairie Eco-Thrifter.

Meet a Reader | Beth from VA

The Frugal Girl

I live just outside of Richmond, VA with my husband, 18-year-old twin daughters, and our two dogs. That’s when I was blogging at Smart Green Tips ( here’s a link to a cached page with a post about my organic garden — I sold the domain years ago). Meet a Reader | Mary from Reflections Around the Campfire

The Frugal Girl

Our daughter is 24 and was adopted from Eastern Europe when she was one week short of a year old. He married the love of his life almost two years ago, so now we have a daughter-in-law, too. I enjoy good food even though I don’t like to cook it – maybe especially because I don’t like to cook it. Guess what! No more waste!

Favorite Foods

Nicoles Nickels

Sometimes I add some onions but not always because my daughter is not a big fan of them. But I quickly tired of them because of various and sundry reasons, mostly too much sugar, or other added ingredients that just don’t say spaghetti sauce to me (green bell peppers are horribly over used in many cooked items).
