Our 2019 Financial Goal. Happy New Year’s 2019: In January 2019, we were down to one final non-mortgage loan, so we created just one financial goal for the year—-to pay off that last non-mortgage debt by December. We can now move on to other financial goals. 1st Update in June 2014. 2018 Update.

We also had some building repairs that we needed to cash flow. We originally (and naively) estimated that we would be done by end of 2016, however, 2016 was not been kind to us, and we moved this goal into 2017. Next, make a list of your current needs , such as home repairs, medical needs, or educational needs. Prioritize.

And while I don’t like parting with our money, I am grateful that this repair won’t send us into financial distress. How would you pay for an unexpected car repair? We feel it at our house too and this is definitely an area I need to improve. Can you fix a repair yourself? 6 – Eat dinner at home.

If married, who initiated the debt free goal? My husband was definitely the one who encouraged us to get out of debt. What are your financial goals now? Sure, there are some months we had to share a car because we didn’t have the cash to repair it but we saved up and a month later I had my car fixed!

I would offer to do people’s taxes, or get their bookkeeping organized in exchange for a discount on my rent, or a small repair on my car. Who initiated the debt free goal? He leaves most of the financial goals up to me, but we make the decisions together. What are your financial goals now?

In September 2019, my husband and I accomplished our biggest financial goal in our almost 20 years of marriage. I don’t make a lot of income on this blog, and it has definitely decreased recently as I’ve reduced my hours spent blogging. My husband has side income from swim coaching and private lessons.
