To ease my anxiety about our new loans, we took the Financial Peace University home course and it changed how we thought about debt. From what we learned in the course, we wrote our Debt Freedom Plan. 1 – Save a starter Home Emergency Fund. 10 – Pay Off Mortgage Debt. .

Stressed out, we ventured into Dave Ramsey’s online Financial Peace University home course for help. Prior to FPU, we thought we were doing well financially and never considered that we had too much debt. But $1000 was not nearly enough money to cover sudden emergencies in both our home and business. DONE November 2019.

I am a stay at home mom to 3 kiddos and a cockapoo named Otis. We live a pretty busy lives and when given free weekends at home we love spending time at home on our little farm. How much debt did you pay off? What kind of debt was it? Total, we paid off $175K in 2 years!! 130K in mortgage debt.

Our business was doing very well, and we were excited about the opportunity to own a property outside of our home. After the first year, the new business debt weighed on me. I’m a former 3rd grade teacher, but now a stay at home mom and a graphic designer of Joyful Art Designs. There were two things that inspired us to pay off debt.
