At one time, we ate out every Friday night and again on Saturday and Sunday for lunch. In fact, there were many weekends that I didn’t cook, because we ate out for every meal. Those days are long gone for us now as we’re working hard to cut corners and save money. Let us know in the comments.

You don’t want to show up anticipating filet mignon and find out that the coupon you have is only applicable to a limited pre fixe menu of pasta with garlic and olive oil or a grilled chicken breast. There are a lot of things you can make without a full stove, so this is a pretty good option if you want to be very frugal. Even buying pre-made salads and entrees at the grocery store is substantially cheaper than eating out. Generally lunch and breakfast can be cheap and easy. Go Frugal' Daily Deal Sites.

At my previous job, I had no problem with bringing my lunch every day to work. My co-workers were all the brown-bagging type, and nobody really took a proper lunch break. Furthermore, my office was not near any sort of restaurant or café, thereby eliminating the accessibility of food out, as well as my craving for it.

It cost over $1000, so when we went to go out for our Friday night dinner (we hate cooking on Fridays), we decided to stay in to save money. But the next thing out of his mouth was “so, what should we do?”. We’d gotten so used to going out that we didn’t really know what to do at home. Still, it is.
