I have used the extra money to pay off debt, fund family trips, or build up our Christmas savings. I save them up to redeem a larger amount and I chose a $100 Target gift card to purchase some gifts and household needs and a $75 restaurant gift card as a special treat. I found $1681 and $3433.68, respectively.

Years ago during our Debt Freedom Plan, I avoided using credit cards, not because we had credit card debt, but I was trying to limit our overall spending. Yep, I found a $20 bill while running on the beach!
