We made one big financial goal for 2019 and are striving and working hard to make progress. We started the year with a great January and made some progress with our goal, so to continue the momentum, I wanted to double down on our financial goal and be very mindful with our finances. She writes about family, finances and faith at her blog, Principles of Increase. Kelvin and I just celebrated 10 years of marriage last November. More diligence with finances brought in more income producing opportunities for us. We rarely argued about finances since we paid the decision to be debt free. I am the nerd.

In September 2019, my husband and I accomplished our biggest financial goal in our almost 20 years of marriage. Financially speaking, he focuses on building the business and I focus on managing our home and finances. We’re no spring chickens, so in November 2016, we started contributing again to our retirement.

Ryan is a high school math teacher and also officiates college basketball (November thru March). Basketball season is November through March, so we don’t see him often during these months, but luckily it’s just seasonal and the benefits are huge. Together, we made the goal of paying it off early though.
