At the very least, and most of what we do, is to bring back leftovers and eat those instead of going out for another meal. Sometimes the price for lunch can be as much as half the cost of dinner and often they have the same dishes. Skip the kid's menu - If you can, try to avoid the kid's menu. Tip: Clean up big messes.

We ate leftover ham & bean soup, kielbasa, and whatever we felt like eating. Tuesday: I made Burrito Bowls using leftovers from Monday night. Last week, I found them in the freezer section and I believe the price was better. The sale price was $2.77 Thursday : Pork tenderloin wraps with leftovers from Wednesday night.

I made Parmesan chicken tenders, boxed mac & cheese and peas for the kids. I also do not usually make two separate meals, but the kids didn’t want the salmon and I was fine with that since I only buy wild-caught salmon. I really liked the pasta, but my kids didn’t like the smokey taste of the sun-dried tomatoes.
